“There’s a certain energy and spirit that surrounds the Lake Erie Islands area. My goal is to help people, especially those who love being on the water, capture that spirit by charting a course for their success in real estate.”

Full Sail Ahead
Sailboat racing has long been in Corky’s blood. This respected professional received her first boat on her 14th birthday (an 18 ½-foot Interlake). All summer long and every weekend in the spring and fall, you could find Corky out on the water. She loved the intensity and excitement of competing against other crews as a member of Put-In-Bay’s junior sailing team. But her favorite event by far was Bay Week when many of the top boats in The Great Lakes would come to the Lake Erie Islands to compete. Corky is still proud that she was the first girl to crew on some of the best racing boats on the lakes.
A Spirited Approach
During the winter months, Corky brought her competitive spirit and need for speed to the ski slopes. She raced downhill alongside many of her longtime sailing crewmates, who were also avid skiers. Corky went on to become a member of the Ohio Junior Ski Team and competed regionally. She attended the University of Colorado for its women’s ski team only to have the program canceled. Yet this didn’t stop Corky from graduating with honors and a degree in recreation administration. Her career evolved from teaching skiing and being part of a freestyle circuit to working as an estimator and project manager for building contractors.
